2. Burna Boy reveals Toni Braxton receives 60% of royalties from ‘Last Last’

Nigerian artist Burna Boy made a surprising revelation about a song from his soon-to-be-released album. The Grammy-winning artist told Wallo about his desire to use Toni Braxton’s 2000 hit song “He Wasn’t Man Enough” in a sample. “It was Chopsticks (his producer), but that has always been my idea, to be honest. I knew he could do something crazy, I just pointed that sh*t out, and he took it from there. That’s one of the most special creative processes,” he said.

After discussing the track, Burna divulged that Braxton collected a hefty paycheck– 60% of the royalties from “Last Last.” He didn’t sweat her cut, insisting that he just wanted a bomb track, and the single gave what it was supposed to give. Burna even hoped to meet the “Breathe Again” songstress one day. The two hosts continued to talk to the Afro Beats artist, asking him about his meteoric rise to fame outside of the continent and selling out New York’s Madison Square Garden.

In a conversation with her best friend, Wanda Baloyi, at a restaurant in Sandton, Alto234, Kelly mentions her shock in Netflix’s “Senzo: Murder of a Soccer Star” documentary when Senzo’s mother allegedly revealed she went to a witch doctor to get the singer out of their lives.
