On Sunday, November 3, Cynthia Bailey, Eva Marcille, Kandi Burruss, NeNe Leakes, Porsha Williams and one-time cast member Kenya Moore returns for the season 12 Real Housewives of Atlanta. While Marlo Hampton and Tanya Sam return as friends of the ladies.
Noticeably absent from the group and the trailer of Real Housewives of Atlanta is Shamari DeVoe, which made fans question her on Twitter. “Why did you get fired,” a fan asked. “I was not ‘fired,’ sweet face. I chose not to return due to personal reasons. ‘The sun sets and rises when it’s ready…,’” Shamari DeVoe replied.
Typical of most established Housewives franchises, the trailer opens with a flash forward to a fight where Kenya Moore, as she is want to do, calls for security.
This is also Kenya’s first season back after her dramatic firing between seasons 10 and 11, when reports surfaced that she had failed to successfully negotiate a new contract and higher salary.
NeNe and Cynthia’s friendship was torn apart at the end of RHOA’s 11th season, when Cynthia hosted an event and invited NeNe’s nemesis, Kenya Moore. Will they be able to repair things between them? Or will their friendship go downhill?
