With the Heineken Lagos Fashion Week 2019 officially coming to an end on Saturday, we’re taking a look back at the show-stopping moments and the style stars that stole the week. As with every fashion week, we all know that the second runway lies on the streets where Style Ravens get to show off their most daring and fashion-forward looks.
As one of the most sought-after events on the Nigerian fashion calendar, Lagos Fashion Week came with some of the hottest trends of the season. From classic-inspired looks to trendy pieces to avant-garde designs, a diverse set of fashion choices made their cameo at the Federal Palace Hotel.
We’ve condensed three days worth of showgoers’ outfits into the #RaveList which features our absolute favourite looks off the runway! Vibrant colours, unconventional florals, statement hats, fluorescent sunglasses and exaggerated outfits were among the biggest trends spotted, but what really matters to us is how these pieces were effortlessly combined to create a rave-worthy ensemble.
This year, show-goers did not hold back when it came to embracing their unique personal style or that of their alter ego. There was nothing off-limits and even a few surprises; cowboy boots, ankle boots and other boot styles surprisingly made bold appearances. So expect to see more Nigerians rocking boots in the coming year.
