Tems Delivers Soothing Vocals On ‘Crazy Things’ + More Trending New Songs Across Africa

New Music Friday seems to be getting hotter and hotter as the year moves closer to its end. This week, we got fire music from some of our favorite African artists and all we can say to them is “thank you” cuz we’ll definitely be turning up to them this weekend. Music sensation of the moment, Tems just released Crazy Things, the lead single off her coming EP which sees her delivering smooth vocals over her unique sound.

Ghana and South Africa also linked up via Stonebwoy and Focalistic as they released a collab titled Ariba. Thanks to these new releases, we sure are confident going into the weekend because we know it’s going to be a vibe.

#1. Tems – Crazy Things

One of the Nigerian female raves of the moment, Tems has come to take her music to another level with the song Crazy Things after she played a big role on Wizkid 2020 hit song Essence. The song Crazy Things is a mid-tempo soundtrack which shows more of her talent and potential. This song serves as the lead single off her upcoming EP set for release on September 17.

Multiple award-winning dancehall star, Stonebwoy, comes out of hibernation to serve us with a new tune titled Ariba featuring Focalistic. The Bhimnation leaders recruit bubbling South African recording artist and entertainer, Focalistic on this afro-fusion record for your listening pleasure. This song mixes Stonebwoy’s dancehall sound and Focalistic’s amapiano groove to make a danceable jam.

#3. L.A.X – Faster

Afro-pop singer and Rasaki Music lead act Damilola Afolabi popularly known as L.A.X has released his highly anticipated single Faster. The high-energy track showcases L.A.X’s avant-garde vocals providing a feel-good atmosphere driven by playful drum patterns and jazz-infected keys. Highlighting his ability to make club-ready music, Faster is the perfect offering from L.A.X for the last of the sun.

#4. Costa Titch, AKA – Yizo Yizo

Talented South African hip hop music duo Costa Titch and AKA who have been hitting up the industry since the beginning of the year, and they return with their long-awaited 2021 studio LP project titled You’re Welcome. On the album is Yizo Yizo, in which the two rappers take the SA energy global as they deliver smooth bars over groovy production.

#5. Killertunez ft. Odunsi (The Engine) – Do Me

Nigerian record producer and singer, Killertunes, comes through with a brand new impressive record titled Do Me, featuring Odunsi (The Engine), taken from the recently released KiillaXtra Album. The body of work embodies 13-mind blowing tracks with vocal assistance from some of your favorite Nigerian musicians. Do Me is a great piece of music that mixes Killer’s afrobeat production with Odunsi’s alternative sound.
