Fashion week has been on a marathon. From New York to London to Milan and then Paris. The designers have steadily been putting out such impressive collections that have us totally looking forward to Spring / Summer 2020! After 8 days of churning out spectacular designs, PFW SS20 season came to an end on Tuesday evening.
With Paris Fashion Week over, fashion month has officially come to a close. As one of the longest-running weeks of the season, PFW SS20 gave us action-packed days full of emerging design talents, heritage luxury brands and there was no shortage of Instagrammable moments.
Balenciaga opted for movement in proportion and offered a more elevated version of Demna Gvasalia’s streetwear as outerwear pieces were larger than life with model’s heads barely peeking through. As Chanel showcased Parissienne jackets and two-tone heels, the highpoint of the PFW SS20 show came when a French comedian and YouTuber known as Marie Benolie aka Marie S’Infiltre crashed the lineup for the brand’s final loop.
Saint Laurent provided a sensational set with the Eiffel Tower as backdrop as the brand showed off an 87-piece collection which was closed by Naomi Campbell in a fully sequined Le Smoking suit, as they paid homage to the original Le Smoking Tuxedo Suit.
