Don Jazzy has shocked fans by revealing that Johnny Drille is married. Don Jazzy posted a photo on Tuesday, July 4, taken with the couple on the day of their wedding with a heartwarming caption. “With all the amazing love songs Johnny Drille has written in his life, it is only right that he bags one of the most amazing women I have met to share #thebestpart of his life with. I am so happy for both of you. May God continue to bless your union,” the post read.

The singer confirmed the news with his latest post, which contains a clip from his new video for his song titled The Best Part. “You complete me @rimouuune, thank you for loving me,” he said to his wife in his heartfelt caption. The singer tied the knot with his lover Rima Tahini, the director of A&R at Mavin Global; the same record label he is signed under. Interestingly, the duo married over a year ago.

A hearty congratulations to the couple!

2. Venus Williams out at Wimbledon after leg injury

Seven-time Grand Slam tennis champion Venus Williams is out at Wimbledon after slipping on the grass court at the legendary venue. Reports say that prior to the fall, the champion player was leading against Elina Svitolina. However, her right foot slipped and gave way. The 43-year-old went down clutching the knee which was already wrapped in a beige sleeve. Williams persevered and returned to continue playing–but could not recover from the injury. The match was Williams’ 24th appearance at Wimbledon.

“I’m not sure what I’ve done. I’m going to have to investigate it tomorrow. It’s late today. But it was quite painful,” Williams said. “Grass is inherently going to be slippery; you’re going to fall at some point. It was just bad luck for me. I started the match perfectly. I was literally killing it. And then I got killed by the grass.” At a news conference, she added, “Right now, I’m kind of in shock. I can’t believe this happened. It’s bizarre. I’m still processing it at the moment. What makes this one hard to process is that I’ve had so many injuries. … This is not what I want for myself.”

3. South Africa: Siya Kolisi wins international award

Congratulations are in order for Siya Kolisi after his documentary “Rise — The Siya Kolisi Story” won the audience award at the international Tribeca Film Festival in New York. The documentary, which was produced by Jon Day and RocNation’s executive producer Michael Yormack, and written and directed by director Tebogo Malope, tells the story of the sports star’s upbringing in Gqeberha, his foundation at Grey College and how he has conquered the world of sports, becoming the first black man to be made captain of the Springboks in 2018.

“We have won the biggest award, the audience award for best doccie film. We were also the only fully African film showcased at the festival, and we are thrilled we won. As a director, I am very particular and intentional with the stories I get to tell, and there was nothing I wanted more than to tell Siya’s story in the manner in which we told it,” Tebogo said in a statement shared.

4. JAY-Z’s mother reportedly gets married in star-studded Tribeca wedding

On Monday, Jay-Z’s mother, Gloria Carter, reportedly got married to longtime partner Roxanne Wilshire at an unknown location within New York City’s Tribeca neighborhood. According to reports the event was attended by a wealth of big names, including Kelly Rowland, Tyler Perry, Robin Roberts, Corey Gamble, and Tina Knowles. Of course, Jay-Z and wife Beyoncé — along with daughter Blue Ivy and bodyguard Julius de Boer — were also there to see Gloria’s big moment.

Gloria has been open about her sexual orientation, which many learned about through JAY-Z’s “4:44” standout “Smile.” “Mama had four kids, but she’s a lesbian, had to pretend so long that she’s a thespian,” the Brooklyn icon rapped on the No I.D.-produced cut.

5. Callum Hudson-Odoi is leaving Chelsea

Callum Hudson-Odoi is set to leave Chelsea as AC Milan and two Premier League clubs target the attacker during the summer window, according to reports. The exact details of the potential transfer, such as the transfer fee and contract terms, are yet to be disclosed.

Hudson-Odoi’s potential departure marks a notable shift in his career at Chelsea. His development hasn’t gone to plan after breaking out at Chelsea and having a really good stint in the youth sides of the club. The youngster made his debut for Chelsea in 2018 and has won the Champions League, Europa League, FIFA Club World Cup, and UEFA Super Cup during his time with them.
