For months, Drake has been teasing his sixth studio album, “Certified Lover Boy,” which was scheduled to be released this month. But this week, the Toronto rapper announced that the album will now be postponed till later this year. Although Drake didn’t share details of his injury or subsequent surgery, he did share a photo back in October of his knee in a brace.

“Between surgery and rehab, my energy has been dedicated to recovery,” Drake wrote in an Instagram story post. “I’m blessed to be back on my feet feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won’t be dropping in January.” There is no new release date yet, but Drake promises the album will be out in 2021.

2. Nigeria: Mavin Records unveil new signee, Arya Starr

Top music producer Don Jazzy recently signed a new female artiste, Ayra Starr to his record label, Mavin records. According to Don Jazzy, he met Ayra Starr sometime last year after discovering her talent and she has since been with the Mavin family. This would be Mavin Records’ first major signee in two years. Ayra Starr has also released her debut EP shortly after getting unveiled. The 5-track EP is self-titled and it has no features.

Don Jazzy took to Twitter to make the announcement. He wrote: “Last year I met the most incredible 18-year-old girl, her name is @AyraStarr. It’s been a fantastic experience working behind the scene for over a year and we at Mavin are proud to present her to the world. Pls follow and join me to welcome to MAVIN @ayrastarr #MAVINACTIVATED.”

Singer and actress Nandi Madida has proven that she’s on a different kind of A-List as she received a gift from American icon Beyoncé. Proving that she is the girl she thinks she is, Nandi took to Instagram to share a snap of the gift she received from the singer, also thanking Beyoncé’s team for being such an inspiration to her.

“Thank you, Beyoncé and the Parkwood team for the beautiful gift, forever grateful and humbled to have been part of such a great project, and working with inspiring people. Ngiyabonga.”

4. Ghana: Edem, wife welcomes new baby

Rapper Denning Edem Hotor and his wife, Stayce Osekre have welcomed a new member into their family. This latest addition to their family of 4 brings up the tally to 5. Taking to his social media pages Edem shared photos of his wife and his new baby, named Eliana Nayram Hotor, complete with a pink bowtie headband.

“Welcome Eliana Nayram Hotor,” he captioned his post.

5. Real Madrid boss Zidane tests positive for COVID-19

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has tested positive for COVID-19, the Liga giants have revealed. The Frenchman, who has been asked serious questions about his future at Santiago Bernabeu, will now enter a period of self-isolation.

Zidane will not be in the dugout for Real’s next fixture, with a trip to Alaves set to be taken on Saturday. Madrid said in a statement on their official website: “Real Madrid CF announces that our coach Zinedine Zidane has tested positive for COVID-19.”
