Bridgerton Season 3: Is It Lady Whistledown’s Turn For A Steamy Love Story?

or every Bridgerton lover, our favorite Regency-era drama is almost here for its highly anticipated third season. Netflix has been generous enough to spill some exciting tea about what we can expect from the next chapter of the Bridgerton saga. And let me tell you, it’s going to be a wild ride. Gear up and let’s dive into all the juicy tidbits.

First things first, Penelope and Colin

From the BTS we’ve been seeing on social media, and thanks to paparazzi shots, it seems like the time for Penelope and Colin to explore their pregnant love story is finally here, or maybe not. We all know that things got a bit rocky between them when Colin said some not-so-nice things about Penelope to his buddies (how rude). Well, get ready for some serious drama as Penelope may keep on the Colin lane or let go of her crush and set out on a quest to find a husband who appreciates her independence. But it’s not going to be a smooth ride for our dear Lady Whistledown because self-doubt starts creeping in.

This season, she’s on a quest to choose between caving into the steamy call of romance or remaining steadfast in her quest for marriage. Especially because we aren’t sure Colin is ready to offer both. Also, we noticed Penelope ditch her bright-colored frocks for mature pastel numbers, and of course, she switched up her hair. This must be serious for Lady Whistledown.

“I really feel like it’s Colin and Penelope’s time. Because we’ve been watching both of these actors on our screens since Season 1, we’ve already invested in them a little bit. We know who they are as people,” Jess Brownell, writer of the series, told Variety Magazine.

On the other hand, Colin returns from his summer adventures looking all dashing and self-assured. He’s determined to mend their friendship and help Penelope regain her confidence. The lessons they learn along the way might just ignite a passionate love story that’ll have us glued to our screens.

What’s Bridgerton Season 3 without Eloise and Penelope’s friendship?

This season isn’t just about Penelope and Colin’s love story, it’s also about the intricate web of relationships within the Bridgerton society. You see, we already know that Penelope is also the mysterious Lady Whistledown, the scandalous gossip writer. And as she becomes more influential in society, keeping her secret becomes a real challenge. I’m curious about how she will write this story. Would she evade it completely, or belt out this juicy romance rumor in her publications? How close is Queen Charlotte to unveiling her identity? My apologies, so many questions.

On top of that, her friendship with Eloise Bridgerton got strained last season, adding another layer of tension and intrigue. And I’m not the only one who wonders what will unfold between Eloise and her unexpected friend, whom she found in the most unlikely of places. It’s clear that loyalty and trust within the Bridgerton family and their inner circle will be tested.

The team behind the new magic

Now, let’s talk about the exciting creative transition behind the scenes. Jess Brownell is taking over as the showrunner for Season 3, bringing her own fresh perspective to the world of Bridgerton. Don’t worry, though—Chris Van Dusen is still on the team, alongside the wonderful Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, and Tom Verica. This team will ensure a seamless transition and keep the essence of the show intact. It’s a perfect blend of old and new, guaranteeing that we’ll continue to be enthralled by the captivating narrative that made Bridgerton a global phenomenon.

When will Bridgerton’s third season be available?

The release date of the anticipated sequel has not yet been disclosed. The only thing we can say with certainty is that it is in the works. From a now-edited post on Netflix Portugal’s page, it seems the release date would be December 14. Fingers crossed. With Penelope and Colin’s rollercoaster romance, the fresh perspective of showrunner Jess Brownell, and the complex dynamics of the Mayfair society, this upcoming season is bound to be unforgettable. Unfortunately, Daphne (Phoebe Dyvenor) won’t return to Season 3. This isn’t surprising as the duchess barely appeared in the last season.

I’m already bracing myself for more scandal, romance, and hidden secrets that will keep us hooked until the end. And remember, this is just the beginning—there’s so much more to come in the captivating world of Julia Quinn‘s Bridgerton.

That’s a wrap for now but stay tuned for more updates, and be prepared to immerse yourself in the enchanting charm of Bridgerton Season 3. Until next time, keep your corsets tight and your hearts aflutter.
