British designer, Stella McCartney has released a 17-piece bridal collection after designing a bridal gown for a Meghan Markle‘s wedding reception. The collection which has been dubbed ‘Made With Love’ re-imagines wedding dressing for the modern woman while showing a new perspective on the traditional dress that is effortless, confident and naturally sexy.
The collection features an array of silhouettes that cater to every type of bride, including an elegant white gown with a cape, a long-sleeve backless number, a cream lace jumpsuit and a crisp white tuxedo. Stella added an extra personal touch to each design by placing a blue tag inside each garment with a special message written by her to serve as the bride’s something blue.
According to Stella,
“It’s something that I feel very passionately about and is very close to my heart. I think that in this day and age the wedding day is something very different to how it’s traditionally perceived, and I think that the house of Stella McCartney really represents something a little more effortless.”
Every piece is made in Italy across factories in Puglia, Abruzzo and Marche, each with a history of hand-making and meticulous craftsmanship. Staying true to Stella’s environmentally-friendly ethos, the garments are crafted using luxurious sustainable viscose and updates on traditional couture fabrics. The full collection is available in select Stella McCartney stores and through retailers like Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Harrods, Net-a-Porter and Selfridges.
