The London Fashion Week Spring / Summer 2020 season ended Tuesday after putting on a series of shows that have given us a lot to look forward to come Spring. London Fashion Week has a reputation for being a little weird, a little wild and a lot posh and this was no different with the collections that flowed down the LFW SS20 runways.
Per the norm, the street styles were entertaining and inspiring but there would be no fashion week without the plethora of runway shows and presentations. While not as jam-packed as NYFW SS20, LFW SS20 featured some of the most interesting designs we’ve seen this fashion week season.
London-based designer, Richard Quinn made the runway his fashion sanctuary as his clothes conjured a couture fantasy, with stunningly exaggerated shapes and rich embellishments. Richard Malone who has a penchant for all things sculptural sent out a collection with strange positioning of cutouts – some on shoulders, others on chests.
Queen of tulle, Molly Goddard opted for slimmed-down silhouettes, cinched-in waistlines and wrapping, tying and ruching that brought fabrics close to the body with tulle of course playing an even more decorative role.
