There is no sure way of knowing how Kim Kardashian West smells but with her just-released KKW fragrances, you can only but get a whiff of her smell. The fragrances which were released on the 15th of November, 2017 are packaged in a unique crystal inspired vial and are in three variants; Crystal Gardenia, Crystal Gardenia Citrus and Crystal Gardenia Oud available in a 75ml bottle at $60 and 30ml for $35.
The 36-year-old businesswoman credits the crystals she was given by people in her life for allowing her to regroup during her post-robbery time out of the spotlight. According to Kim,
“I really loved the idea of being so pure and taking that time to do what makes you happy and heal from everything you have going on in this crazy, chaotic life. I just wanted to create fragrances that made me feel happy and calm.”
Each perfume is built around a creamy gardenia – her preferred bloom. “Gardenia evokes so many memories,” she says. “It’s my dad’s favorite flower, and it reminds me of when he’d take us to Hawaii”. The line’s core signature scent, Crystal Gardenia, is flecked with water lily and tuberose, evoking a lush, wet petal effect to the opening, which is her mother’s favourite varietal. A second interpretation, Crystal Gardenia Citrus, is cut with jasmine, and orange and lemon oil to fresh effect. The final blend, Crystal Gardenia Oud, is more distinctive, has captivating notes of bergamot and lavender and was inspired by her frequent travel to the Middle East.
