There should be a law that states that every true fashionista should own a two piece set (or co-ords if you will). Why? Well, if there’s one thing the fashion world needs less of right now, it’s a typical Ankara design and two set pieces are far from typical. I bet fashion faithfuls like yourself would agree.
For starters, let’s make it clear that there are different types of two piece sets but our focus today is on the kimono style two piece with high-waisted pants.
What I like most about the robe-inspired two piece set is that they are versatile! Designed to match perfectly with the trousers, they can also be styled independently. It’s not a case of one part being useless without the other as each piece can do fabulously on its own.
For instance, you can pair the kimono with a tank top and mini skirt or on a slip or bodycon dress. You can also pair it with a different solid colored trouser. On the other hand, you can pair the high-waisted pants with a crop top or a tucked in fitted t-shirt or any cute blouse that fits it right. All of which can be styled with killer pumps, high heel sandals or thigh high boots (the mini skirt look) and statement accessories! There are just so many options that make a two piece set really attractive.
