Diddy’s annual New Year’s Eve party is officially canceled, and he doesn’t plan on changing his mind. The 51-year-old mogul announced the cancellation on Instagram on Monday, December 28. “This is to everyone, all of my friends & family…I’m not changing my mind,” he captioned the bulletin before adding, “See you all in 2021! Love you!”

Diddy canceled the New Year’s Eve party in an effort to keep everyone “safe and healthy” as COVID numbers continue to rise amid ongoing holiday travel and gatherings. Diddy is of course known for throwing epic celebrations. His NYE parties from years past have been attended by just about every big name in music and entertainment.

2. Nigeria: Richard Mofe-Damijo celebrates 20th wedding anniversary

Veteran Nollywood actor Richard Mofe-Damijo better known as RMD and his wife have marked their 20th wedding anniversary with some lovely photos. RMD shared the loved-up photos with his wife on his Instagram page singing her praises as he celebrates her for being lovely for 20 years and still counting.

According to him, it’s been 20 years and she still manages to crack him up. Even though their marriage won’t be rosy all the time, they manage to sort out their differences to be together till now. “20 years later, you still crack me up my WinterRose? Thank you my Abk, my Aabike, my Dejumo, my Abiks!,” he captioned the photos.

3. South Africa: Khanyi Mbau to help SA youth with educational funding

Actress and television host Khanyi Mbau has vowed to help reshape the future of South African youths by assisting them with financial aid. The “Red Room” actress has joined forces with businessman Tim Hogins to assist youth with funding for their education and finding employment as well as mentorship programs.

The movement’s purpose is to mobilize the youth in order to end their dependency on the government and others.

4. Ghana: 39th anniversary of 31st Dec. Revolution to come off Thursday in honor of J.J Rawlings

The Central Planning Committee of the 31st December Anniversary and the Office of former President Jerry John Rawlings will on Thursday commemorate the 39th Anniversary of the 31st December Revolution. The anniversary is in partnership with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and will be organized in honor of the late founder of the NDC and former President of the Republic of Ghana who is also the leader of the Revolution.

The event is expected to commence at 8:30 am at the Osekan Park on the Atta Mills High Street. Among other things, there will be wreath-laying and a parade in honor of the late former President Rawlings.

5. Everton vs Man City: Premier League fixture postponed after visitors report coronavirus cases

Manchester City’s Premier League match at Everton on Monday was postponed four hours before kick-off because of an outbreak of coronavirus at the club. Everton said they would request “full disclosure” of the information City provided to the Premier League that led to the postponement.

City reported new positive coronavirus tests on Monday, in addition to those they had confirmed on Christmas Day. The Premier League then agreed at a board meeting to postpone the match. Following the confirmation of Monday’s positive tests, City said their training ground would be closed for an “indeterminate period.”
