Pharrell Williams and Adidas are keeping the Jellyfish momentum going with another eye-catching colorway. The upcoming Adidas Virginia Adistar Jellyfish Dark Brown/Frozen Green gives the futuristic sneaker a fresh, almost dessert-inspired look, pairing a rich brown upper with energetic mint-green detailing.
After spending much of its early life as a difficult-to-find collector’s item, the Virginia Adistar Jellyfish is entering a new phase. Adidas appears to be expanding the lineup with more accessible releases, giving sneaker fans additional opportunities to experience one of Pharrell Williams’ most talked-about collaborations.
The Jellyfish Gets a Mint Chocolate Chip Treatment

The Adidas Virginia Adistar Jellyfish Dark Brown/Frozen Green takes a noticeably different approach from the cleaner colorways that have recently appeared. Its foundation is a dark brown mesh upper that gives the sneaker a subdued, earthy appearance. That understated base is then interrupted by a bold Frozen Green TPU structure running across the shoe.
The result is a color combination that immediately brings mint chocolate chip ice cream to mind. The brown tones provide warmth and depth, while the green elements give the sneaker an electric visual punch.
Small touches of tan and lighter green help connect the different shades, preventing the contrast from feeling too abrupt. The most dramatic element remains the Frozen Green lines, which give the Jellyfish its signature futuristic character and make the shoe stand out even from a distance.
Pharrell’s Jellyfish Is Expanding Quickly

The new release arrives during a particularly busy period for the Virginia Adistar Jellyfish. Following the arrival of a widely available Triple White version and a beach-inspired tan colorway in August, Adidas is continuing to expand the model’s lineup.
There is also a yellow-accented Timber colorway on the horizon, suggesting that the Jellyfish may be moving from a niche collaboration into a much broader footwear franchise.
That represents a major shift from the sneaker’s original rollout. When the Virginia Adistar Jellyfish first reached stores in August 2025, its Focus Olive/Orange colorway was released in extremely limited quantities. Subsequent releases throughout 2025 and into 2026 remained difficult to obtain.
Now, the Adidas Virginia Adistar Jellyfish Dark Brown/Frozen Green is part of a wider push that could make Pharrell’s unusual design far more visible on the streets.
From Limited Grail to Wider Release

The expansion comes with an interesting backdrop. Recent Jellyfish releases have reportedly been easier to find than the earliest versions, with the Triple White edition still appearing in select retailers in scattered sizes after its August 1 launch.
That increased availability has sparked discussion about whether Adidas may have overestimated demand for the $300 sneaker, particularly for the relatively straightforward Triple White version.
Still, wider availability does not necessarily take away from the importance of the model. The Jellyfish remains one of the more unconventional designs in the current Adidas lineup, combining a technical-looking TPU cage with a streamlined mesh foundation.
Its growing range of colors could ultimately be what makes the silhouette more appealing to a broader audience. Rather than relying solely on its novelty, Adidas is giving consumers more ways to find a version that fits their personal style.
A Shoe of the Year Winner

The Jellyfish already has an important accolade behind it. In December 2025, the Virginia Adistar Jellyfish was named Shoe of the Year at the 39th annual FN Achievement Awards.
Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden praised the recognition while highlighting Pharrell’s creativity and the partnership behind the shoe. He also emphasized that awards matter less than how consumers respond to the product.
That perspective feels particularly relevant as the Adidas Virginia Adistar Jellyfish Dark Brown/Frozen Green prepares to reach a wider audience. The growing number of releases gives shoppers a chance to decide whether the Jellyfish can become more than a highly limited collaboration.
Release Date and Pricing

The Adidas Virginia Adistar Jellyfish Dark Brown/Frozen Green is scheduled to release September 19. The sneaker will retail for $300 and will be available through Pharrell Williams’ Black Yacht Rock e-commerce store, the Adidas Confirmed app and select third-party retailers.
With its dark brown foundation and striking Frozen Green structure, this latest version offers a more adventurous alternative to the cleaner Jellyfish releases that have arrived recently.
As Adidas continues opening the Jellyfish floodgates, the Dark Brown/Frozen Green colorway could become one of the collection’s most memorable iterations. It keeps the experimental spirit of Pharrell’s design intact while giving the futuristic silhouette a fresh, minty personality.
