We have seen this genre go from a work of art only West Africans appreciate to the whole of Africa and now, the world. This growth comes as no surprise to West Africans because it has been a long time coming. Going about their business, Afrobeats artistes continue to bless fans with new jams weekly. This week is no different as globally-beloved DJ Spinall and Starboy Wizkid have come together for another banging collab called Loju.

Tekno also continues the rollout that leads to his upcoming album with a new song titled Peace of Mind. As it’s our custom to curate a bop-worthy weekly list of the top five trending new Afrobeats songs for you to expand your playlist, here is our upbeat selection for this week.

#4. Tekno – Peace of Mind

Tekno, a musician and record producer from Nigeria, has made a comeback to the music industry with Peace of Mind. The song, which is backed by a Tekno-directed music video, emphasizes the importance of inner serenity and the artist’s focus on attaining calm. Tekno’s second official single of the year, following his earlier release of the politically engaged Freetown in January, is Peace of Mind.
