A passionate writer, self proclaimed chef and lover of music…
Senegalese fashion model and actress Khoudia Diop is a self-proclaimed “Melanin Goddess” and a mere glance at her proves that she is deserving of the title. The gorgeous 22-year old is a Gen Z internet sensation whose journey before the fashion world involved bullying, racism and ultimately self-discovery.
The media darling and former Parisian has moved beyond her sudden online popularity, establishing herself as a rising talent in the fashion industry. Now a full-time model under the agency “The Coloured Girl,” whose rebirth campaign is what famously launched her career, the now New Yorker, is taking life in strides while advocating against bullying.

Khoudia is a big believer in proper representation which is why she doesn’t fail to show off her Senegalese heritage at every given opportunity. She’s also constantly shedding light on self-love and acceptance. Just as she grew to love herself and be comfortable in her skin, she believes anyone can do it, most especially because there’s no greater feeling than being comfortable in one’s skin.
According to Khoudia:
“All women should feel confident in the skin they’re in – everyone is beautiful in their own unique way, and the key is to realize that and celebrate it.”
Khoudia Diop joins iconic model like Alek Wek as an inspiration to upcoming black models, especially models of African heritage with melanin-rich skin and a head full of dreams.
