MFW SS20: The Most Rave-worthy Designs From The Runways

Fashion week has been on a marathon. From New York to London and then Milan. The designers have steadily been putting out such impressive collections that have us totally looking forward to Spring / Summer 2020! The Milan Fashion Week SS 2020 season ended Monday after a series of shows that proved that every thing is more detailed in Italy.

MFW SS20 came with some of the boldest looks we have seen since the start of this fashion week season. Versace had Jennifer Lopez ignited the runway in a remake of the jungle green dress the singer wore to the 2000 Grammys. This look was one that inspired Google to create Google Image Search as it was the most searched for image at the time. How iconic, right?

Iceberg, on the other hand, tapped Nigerian Afro-pop diva Tiwa Savage to headline its runway show where she sang her recently released single 49-99 while wearing pieces from the brand’s SS20 collection.

Italian fashion house, Gucci, pulled off the season’s first environmentally-friendly show. The brand’s creative director, Alessandro Michele, was inspired by the notion of humanity and uniforms and sent models down wearing variations of white straitjackets. The brand confirmed the straitjacket-inspired items will not be made available for sale, but were designed “to represent how through fashion, power is exercised over life.”

Check out some of the most rave-worthy designs from the MFW SS20 runways…
