Last week was yet another major week for men’s fashion. As the stars headed to the annual Tony Awards, the NBA finals, and other events that demanded a highly fashionable presence, the best dressed men embraced the freedom of style in contemporary cuts and seasonal hues. This meant a bevy of evening wears and casual game-day numbers sufficient to make the style Hall of Fame. As expected, celebrities had fun dressing up, thus proving that men’s fashion can always be lively and fresh even in the summer weather.
The Looks
At last Sunday’s Tony Awards, the standout was those who stepped away from traditional evening wear and experimented. Actor Colman Domingo wore a powder blue ensemble consisting of a double-breasted Burberry suit with a pair of pants over a button-down shirt of the same color complete with the wide legs and a size bigger to give off the disco-era vibe. For shoes, he opted for a pair of white Christian Louboutin penny loafers and accessorized with David Yurman jewelry. His look felt elevated enough for such an awards show, but also a modern spin on a revered era with a dramatic color for an evening that welcomed drama.
Elsewhere, many celebrities opted for high doses of revamped casual looks. Still on his North American tour, afrobeats singer Adekunle Gold lit up the stage in Atlanta, Georgia in a two-piece leather patchwork silhouette by US-based designer, Amiri, complete with a pair of leather pants and biker jacket worn over a black shirt. He finished the look off with a pair of black leather boots and a pair of futuristic statement glasses.
As last week went by, celebrities showed off and showed out in some of their best outfits yet. It was almost as though these well-clad groups of men were officially ushering in the summer. We’re definitely here for the hues! Men Summer Fashion
