Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla are headed to a city near you on the highly-anticipated “Hot Girl Summer Tour,” and now they have a new song to showcase their partnership. On Tuesday, April 2, the duo took to social media, where they danced over an unreleased song set to drop on Friday, April 5. In the brief clip, Meg and Glo did not reveal much of their collaboration as they cheered each other on with chants of “Go Meg” and “Get em’ Glo.”

“Too thick glo dropping 4/5 !!!,” Megan’s caption read. “We getting activateddddd.” In March, Megan Thee Stallion announced the “Hot Girl Summer Tour,” with a special guest, Grammy-nominated rapper GloRIlla. The 31-city worldwide tour will be produced by Live Nation and includes shows in the U.S. and across Europe.

2. Ice Prince announces release date for new album

Ice Prince, the Nigerian rapper known for his unique blend of hip-hop and Afrobeats, has announced the release date for his fourth studio album. The album is titled “Fire and Ice.” The artist took to Twitter to share the news, stating that the album will be released on May 3. Ice Prince, whose real name is Panshak Zamani, has been in the music industry for over a decade, with his debut album, “Everybody Loves Ice Prince,” arriving in 2011. His music is characterized by its blend of chilled, exciting hip-hop and colorful, bouncy pop tunes, which have earned him a dedicated fan base and critical acclaim.

South African sensation Tyla has made history by securing a UK platinum plaque for her viral hit single “Water,” which has taken the global music scene by storm since its release in July 2023. The Amapiano-inspired track not only garnered widespread popularity but also earned Tyla a coveted spot in music history. “Water” attained UK platinum certification, showcasing its infectious beats and universal appeal.

The song has also made its mark on the Billboard Hot 100, solidifying Tyla’s status as the youngest South African and the first South African soloist in 55 years to grace the prestigious chart. Water serves as the lead single from Tyla’s recently released self-titled debut album, a deliberate choice reflecting her desire for a clean introduction to the world.

4. Dammy Krane lays huge allegations on Davido

Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has made some serious allegations against fellow musician Davido. In a social media video, Krane claimed that Davido uses his money and influence to hide his “evil deeds.” Krane specifically brought up the death of Tagbo, a friend of Davido’s who died in 2017.

Krane alleges that Davido pressured Tagbo to drink too much alcohol and then left him alone in a car, which led to his death. Davido has not yet responded to these accusations. The police investigation into Tagbo’s death concluded it was due to alcohol poisoning, but there were questions raised about the events leading up to his death.

5. Luis Rubiales arrested in corruption investigation

Luis Rubiales, the former president of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), was arrested on Wednesday as part of a corruption investigation. He was released soon after being detained on arrival in Madrid from the Dominican Republic. He is suspected of receiving illegal commissions when negotiating a lucrative deal to stage the Spanish Super Cup competition in Saudi Arabia. Prosecutors are seeking a two-and-a-half-year jail term. Rubiales denies any wrongdoing.

After stepping off the plane, he was taken into a black van with several members of the Civil Guard. He was released soon after. Rubiales was in the Dominican Republic when police searched his home last month. They also searched the football federation headquarters and made several arrests. Rubiales is also separately due to go on trial for sexual assault for kissing the player Jenni Hermoso on the mouth after last summer’s World Cup final.
