Laycon Makes Us Fall For Him + More Trending Songs Across Africa

2021 is shaping up to be another banging year for African music. Musical acts across the country have not disappointed us with their latest releases and this week wasn’t any different. Fast rising rapper Laycon of the BBNaija fame has blessed fans with a new melodious song which he titled Fall for me.

Per usual, we’ve curated a list of some of the hottest new and trending songs across Africa, especially by artistes who are innovating in terms of style and sound.

#1. Laycon ft. YKB – Fall for me

Laycon starts 2021 with a new song titled Fall for me. The Fierce Nation lead act teams up with upcoming sensation YKB to deliver this banger. Produced by SemziBeatz, this song is an Afropop-enriched tune which hits home at the first listen, thanks to the duo’s chemistry.

#2. MI Abaga, Vector the Viper ft Pheelz – Crown of clay

One of the industry’s most anticipated collaboration has finally dropped. Rap Geniuses, Vector and MI Abaga have teamed up for the culture, to deliver a top notch hip-hop record titled Crown Of clay, with a production assist from Pheelz. The song empowers the Black race to go back to its true essence of nature — with reference to a crown made out of clay.

#3. Mbosso ft. Diamond Platnumz – Baikoko

Popular Tanzanian singer and instrumentalist, Mbosso is here with another sizzling tune which he calls Baikoko , off his newest project Definition Of Love album. The Afropop song which was rendered in the native Tanzanian language features multiple award winning Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz.

#4. Ice Prince ft Oxlade – KOLO

Ice Prince comes through with Kolo, his new Edgar Boi-produced single featuring Oxlade. The alluring track follows Ice Prince rapping about a love that makes you go mad, all these over a killer afro-fusion beat. Oxlade provides the falsetto hook for this song. This track comes right after Ice Prince got signed to international record label, 300 Entertainment.

#5. Ruger – Monalisa

Jonzing World signee, Ruger releases another entertaining song titled Monalisa which is off his debut EP Pandemic. The 6-track project with no features happens to be his first body of work since joining the Jonzing World family earlier this year. The fast-rising singer is towing the dancehall route and is set to become a big sensation in the genre.
