Jim Carrey has married his longtime girlfriend, Min Ah, in a small, private ceremony in Los Angeles, marking a new chapter for the 64-year-old actor. A spokesperson for the “Bruce Almighty” star confirmed the marriage on Wednesday, Sept. 30.
The marriage comes about seven months after Jim Carrey and Min Ah made their first public appearance as a couple at the César Awards in Paris. Carrey attended the February ceremony with Ah, his daughter Jane Erin Carrey and his grandson Jackson Riley, where he received an honorary award and publicly referred to Ah as his “sublime companion.”

The César Awards marked a rare public moment for Jim Carrey and Min Ah. While accepting his honorary award, Carrey delivered his speech entirely in French and took time to thank his family and longtime partner.
“Thank you to my wonderful family, my daughter Jane, and my grandson Jackson. I love you now and forever,” Carrey said, before thanking his “sublime companion, Min Ah.”
“I love you, Min Ah,” he added as Ah, Jane and Jackson received an ovation from the audience.
Carrey also paid tribute to his late father, Percy Joseph Carrey, crediting him with teaching him about “love, generosity, and laughter.”
The appearance in Paris came several months before the reported wedding, making the ceremony the latest development in a relationship that the couple has otherwise kept private.
The Couple Had Been Linked Since 2022
Although Jim Carrey and Min Ah only made their red-carpet debut in 2026, they had been linked several years earlier.
Photos published showed the pair leaving a charity comedy show hosted by Judd Apatow at Largo in Los Angeles in February 2022. Neither Carrey nor Ah made their relationship a regular subject of public discussion following those photographs.
That low-profile approach continued until their appearance at the César Awards, where their presence together alongside Carrey’s family offered a more public acknowledgment of their relationship.

The marriage comes as Carrey continues to maintain a relatively private life outside his acting career. During an April 2022 interview with Access Hollywood while promoting “Sonic the Hedgehog 2,” he discussed the possibility of stepping away from acting to enjoy a quieter life.
“I really like my quiet life,” Carrey said at the time, adding that he enjoyed painting, his spiritual life and spending time with his family.
He also said he had reached a point where he felt he had enough, suggesting that his priorities had shifted away from the constant demands of Hollywood.
That approach has also characterized his relationship with Min Ah. Despite being one of Hollywood’s most recognizable stars, Carrey has offered few public details about their romance.
