Diddy‘s newest creation, Cîroc Passion, has arrived and for the launch, he enlisted the help of luxury fashion designer LaQuan Smith, personal chef Richard Ingram, and graphic designer and street artist Karabo Poppy Moletsane. Each creative put their own spin on the alcoholic beverage in addition to creating an immersive interaction for patrons to fully experience the exotic blend of flavors.

For LaQuan, it’s partnerships like this that he says “have helped me build my brand into what it is today.” He adds, “Right now, it is about the sense of unification and, you know, coming together and making it make sense for the consumer and making it make sense for the creatives as well.”

2. Davido adds custom-made power bike to collection

Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has added a unique power bike to his already intimidating garage. The music star took to his Instagram Stories on Tuesday, August 2, to share a video of his latest acquisition. “New Baby…Banana go hear am,” he captioned the video. Davido’s new bike comes just months after he dropped a whopping N90M on a Mercedes Maybach SUV.

The new set of wheels will join an already extensive garage of expensive cars, which includes several models of Rolls Royce, Lamborghini Urus, and Lamborghini Aventador which cost him over ₦300M. Davido also owns several Range Rover models and other exotic cars.

The South African Music Awards (SAMAs) are around the corner and Grammy award winner Black Coffee is set to be honored with an International Achievement Award. The star walked away with the Best Dance/Electronic Album Grammy award recently for his seventh studio album, “Subconsciously.” It is the first time an SA artist has won a Grammy in this category.

A Ghanaian winter Olympics sportsman has put a call out on Twitter for a female athlete to compete in the skeleton mixed team event at the 2026 winter Olympics, after the event was added to the roster by the sporting authorities. The skeleton is a winter sport whereby contestants slide on a small board, using their chest. “I’m currently working hard to qualify for the individual event, but would love to train and support a a Ghanaian female athlete to also qualify individually for the skeleton event and together qualify for the team event,” Akwasi Frimpong wrote on Twitter.

5. Commonwealth Games Day 5: Onyekwere wins historic gold medal for Nigeria

For the very first time in Nigeria’s history, the country secured not just a medal but gold in the Commonwealth Games Women’s Discus event. Reigning African champion, Chioma Onyekwere was the history-maker on Tuesday night at the Alexandra Stadium in Birmingham as her Season’s Best throw of 61.70m was good enough to earn her the top spot. Though she was ranked second among the throwers on parade ahead of the final, Onyekwere proved the bookmakers wrong; beating the fans’ favorite to the gold medal.

Aside from Onyekwere’s gold, the current national champion, Obiageri Amaechi, also got on the podium, clinching the bronze medal in this event. The two medals won on Tuesday night are the first set of medals Nigeria will win in Athletics at the ongoing Games in Birmingham. In all, Team Nigeria at the end of Day 5 now has eight medals; three gold, one silver, and four bronze but have dropped to the 10th spot on the medals tables.
