CaSandra Diggs Appointed First Black President Of The CFDA
The Council of Fashion Designer of America has added CaSandra Diggs to its leadership team, as she becomes the first black woman to hold the position of President. This is a welcomed news as the fashion industry continues to make commendable strides towards inclusion and diversity. Fashion news.
According to a post by the organization, CaSandra Diggs joined the CFDA in 2001 and was most recently the Chief Administrative and Financial Officer.
As President, CaSandra will be reporting to the CFDA CEO Steven Kolb and the Board of Directors. She will expand her leadership role and be charged with developing strategy and making decisions that further the CFDA’s purpose to champion, educate, and support its members and the fashion industry-at-large. In her statement, CaSandra Diggs said: “CFDA remains a vital pillar of the fashion community.
