As far as it can be remembered, the worlds of fashion and film have always coexisted. In fact, both industries have been influencing and inspiring each other since the earliest days of entertainment. This explains why the only thing that attempts to compete with the business of the day at award shows is what the celebrities wear.

Even in the making of films, very fashionable costumes and tasteful set designs are now highly recognized as major categories in the Oscars, BAFTAs and various other awards. This is because the costumes of a movie are crucial to the success of the final product.

No matter what your opinion is on the cinematic world, as a lover of fashion and style, there are some fashion-focused films you should see at least once. Whether it’s a great biopic about the legendary Coco Chanel or a chic movie about the running of a fashion magazine, these are five of the best fashion films you should add to your watchlist.
