Indigenous womenswear brand Lady Biba presents its new lookbook themed Lady in the City. I have always loved this brand ever since i came across it in 2013/2014. I remember being impressed at how that brand was carving a niche for itself as a womenswear brand that catered specifically to very chic corporate and semi corporate pieces for the stylish working woman or 9-5’er.
Over the years, Lady Biba has stayed true to this aesthetic, its brand and its niche with highly affordable and accessible pieces stocked in stores like Grey Velvet and Zazaii.
With this new collection, though the aesthetic remains the same and practical, the pieces couldn’t be anymore stylish featuring detailed cuts, structure, minimalist prints and solid autumnal colors. According to the Creative Director, Bisola, the editorial was inspired by grit, granite, hard work and passion, in other words; Lagos. The “Lady in the City” is the lady that can hold her own regardless of where she finds herself.
