Singer Usher Raymond is reportedly expecting his first child with his new girlfriend/record executive Jenn Goicoechea. A source told the media, “They are thrilled and very excited.” The news of Usher and his girlfriend expecting a child came as the two were photographed leaving a LA production studio this week with her baby bump shown.

The two have yet to comment on the pregnancy. Usher has two sons, Usher and Navid, with his ex-wife Tameka Raymond. The singer started dating Jenn after his divorce from Grace Miguel became finalized.

#2. Ghana: 2020/2021 National Service starts on September 7

The National Service Scheme (NSS) has announced that the 2020/2021 service year officially starts on Monday, September 7, 2020. In a statement issued on Monday, the NSS said a total of Eighty-Six Thousand Four Hundred and Seventy-Eight (86,478) eligible graduates from accredited tertiary institutions and private registrants who enrolled for the 2020/2021 national service have been posted to various user agencies across Ghana.

Registration and validation of the prospective service persons would begin at all centers across the country from Thursday, September 3, 2020, the NSS statement said.

Zakes Bantwini has revealed that he and his wife Nandi Madida mistakenly entered into a wrong marriage contract. The couple are set to dissolve this in the community of property marriage contract.

Four years into the marriage, Zakes Bantwini revealed that he and his songstress wife Madida had entered into a wrong marriage contract. Now the couple is asking the court to help them amend the terms of their marriage contract. Bantwini wants their marriage to be converted from in community of property to out of community of property.

According to the media, the award-winning musician filed a court order, requesting for his wife, to be removed from their R5-million joint estates. The couple owns properties, including an R3.5-million mansion in Durban, and an R1.5-million house in Joburg.

#4. Coronavirus: the US passes six million COVID-19 cases

The US recorded one million new coronavirus infections in less than a month

The US has now surpassed six million cases of COVID-19 – almost a quarter of the world’s total, according to data collated by Johns Hopkins University. It said the country added one million new infections in less than a month. More than 183,000 people have now died.

In the UK, France, and Spain, the infection rate dropped compared with Sunday’s figures – but the tallies may be readjusted later on. It comes as children across Europe prepare to return to schools this week. The total number of confirmed cases globally has now surpassed 25 million, with more than 846,000 COVID-19 related deaths.

#5. Marcus Rashford brings food brand giants together to tackle child food poverty

Footballer Marcus Rashford has formed a task force with some of the UK’s biggest food brands to try to help reduce child food poverty. The 22-year-old Manchester United forward successfully campaigned to extend free school meals this summer.

He has spoken about his own experiences of using a food voucher scheme as a child and was praised for pressing the government into a U-turn on the issue. He has written to MPs, outlining the help he feels some families still need. Rashford said he was “confident” the group could help change lives “for the better.”
