In the face of the growing coronavirus pandemic, social distancing has been highly recommended as well as washing your hands with soap and disinfecting surfaces you touch regularly. In many places, there’s a lockdown in place and many people are stuck at home. I don’t know about you but for me, nothing keeps me sane at home more than some good music!

As we continue to do our best to stay safe, some artists are lending their voices and resources to the COVID-19 global awareness and fight. On the list of artists lending their voices is Uganda’s musician turned politician, Bobi Wine who released a reggae-inspired tune titled Corona Virus Alert!

Besides Uganda’s Bobi Wine, Nigeria’s Instagram sensational choir Kabusa Oriental Choir took to social media to sensitize their followers on how to stay safe from the novel coronavirus using a catchy tune as well.

1. Bobi Wine and Nubian Li – Coronavirus Alert

Ugandan musician turned politician, Bobi Wine is using music to help curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19. Bobi Wine teamed up with a fellow artist, Nubain Li to release a song laced with East Africa’s signature rumba melodies about the importance of personal hygiene. In the Coronavirus alert song, Bobi Wine smartly noted that “the bad news is that everyone is a potential victim but the good news is that everyone is a potential solution.”


2. Johnny Drille – Something Better

If you are a lover that can’t put your feelings into words, then Mavin’s Johnny Drille is sure to help you communicate those feelings and he has done it again with the release of Something Better. After the long but fulfilling wait Something Better, an Afro-Jazz record with good melody is actually better.

3. Orezi ft Teni – Your Body

Nigerian multi-talented music star, Orezi finally drops his brand new anticipated joint titled Your Body and he features Dr Dolor Entertainment singer, Teni. This is one single that is sure to get you dancing around the house just when you need a break.

4. Kabusa Oriental Choir – The Corona Song

The Kabusa Oriental Choir took their skit making career to another level as they released a catchy tune sensitizing their fans and followers on the dangers, symptoms and preventive measures of the coronavirus. This is one song that would make you laugh and move to the beats as well.

5. Nasty C – There They Go

South African rapper Nasty C has proven that he has his eyes set for great things. He has signed an exclusive pact with Def Jam Recordings and made his official U.S. debut with There They Go. Not only was a video released with the song, but the song also premiered on Apple Music Beats 1 with Ebro Darden on March 26.
