On Friday, August 10, celebrities and models took over Porto Cerva, Italy in their stylish best for the inaugural Unicef Summer Gala, presented by luxury e-commerce platform LuisaViaRoma. The event is a charity event to support UNICEF’s activities to protect children’s rights worldwide. The UN charity provides humanitarian and development assistance to children and their mothers in developing countries.
The event which also included a live auction had auctioneer Alexander Gilkes take the stage to auction off a number of high profile lots, including artworks by Francis Bacon, Pablo Picasso and RETNA, a Fiat 500 Riva, and Chopard jewellery, the latter of which was modelled by Emily Ratajkowski.
As with any event with a celebrity guest list, stars flooded the Gala’s red carpet to show off their glamorous ensembles. British pop star Rita Ora stole the show in a multi-coloured silk couture Fall ’18 gown by Ralph and Russo paired with Sophia Webster Lucia pumps. Emily Ratajkowski set hearts racing in an Oscar de la Renta Resort ’19 dress with Christian Louboutin Tres Frais 120 satin sandals.
