Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi popularly known as Tems has been diagnosed with Reflux Laryngitis. Tems made her medical diagnosis known on her Instagram page on Tuesday, June 14. “It breaks my heart to say this but there has been no other option for me. I’m not feeling too good at the moment. After my last performance, I was diagnosed with Reflux Laryngitis and I have to take some time off to protect what’s left of my voice,” she wrote. “On doctor’s order, I have to postpone the two shows this week. The new dates for both shows will be announced tomorrow.”

The singer apologized for the inconveniences the postponement may have caused. Reflux laryngitis is an irritation in the back of the throat due to acid or other chemicals that come up from your stomach. Other terms for this condition include gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR), acid reflux, and chronic laryngitis.

2. Kanye West accuses Adidas of ‘blatantly copying’ his Yeezy slides

Kanye West blasts Adidas and calls out the CEO, Kasper Rorstad, for allegedly copying his original Yeezy slides. In the afternoon of June 13th, the business mogul took to social media in frustration after Adidas announced the upcoming release of their Adillette slides and called them “fake Yeezys.” Earlier this month, the Adilette slides were exhibited across social media, retailing for $55.

As reported, the Yeezy slide launched in 2019 and reached nearly $1.7 billion in annual revenue, so Kanye sees an essential value in his brand. It is good to note that the rapper has worked with Adidas for almost a decade. On his Instagram post, he began to make an innuendo about Kobe Bryant’s past deal with Adidas and related to it in his caption. In 1996, the basketball legend signed a six-year deal with Adidas but walked away from his contract. The Yeezy and Adidas collab came about in December 2013 and released their first collection in February 2015, according to their website.

3. South Africa: Hungani and Stephanie reveal they had a miscarriage

Actors and young couple Stephanie and Hungani Ndlovu have revealed they were expecting their first child but miscarried at eight weeks. Taking to their YouTube channel, The Ndlovus Uncut, the pair first showed a hidden cam Stephanie had installed to record her husband’s reaction to the news, and they were both overjoyed. Stephanie said out of excitement, she had already started recording her first scan at the doctor for her husband, who couldn’t be with her when she received the sad news. Tems Diagnosis

Our condolences go out to the couple.

4. Rwanda asylum flight canceled after legal action

The first flight scheduled to take asylum seekers from the UK to Rwanda will not depart as planned after a last-minute legal battle, the Home Office told the press. Up to seven people had been expected to be removed to the east African country but the flight was canceled after the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) stepped in. It followed a UK court saying the flight could go ahead and came after a series of legal challenges in Britain failed.

The flight had been due to take off on June 14 at 22:30 BST from a military airport in Wiltshire but after a series of linked judgments in Strasbourg and London, all passengers were removed from it. A UK High Court judge ruled last Friday that there should be a full review of the Rwanda removals policy — but that the Home Secretary Priti Patel would be acting lawfully if in the meantime she sent some asylum seekers to Rwanda. Should the policy be found to be unlawful, some people could be returned to the UK from Rwanda.

5. Nemanja Matic: Roma sign ex-Chelsea and Man Utd midfielder on a one-year deal

Midfielder Nemanja Matic has joined Italian club Roma on a one-year deal. It is the third time Jose Mourinho has signed the 33-year-old after bringing him to Chelsea in 2014 and then Manchester United three years later. Former Serbia international Matic left the Old Trafford club when his contract ended earlier this month. Roma’s general manager Tiago Pinto said: “The enthusiasm he showed at the prospect of joining our project was hugely encouraging.”

He added: “Nemanja brings with him to Roma not just a lot of quality on the pitch, but the vast experience he has gained from so many seasons in the Premier League and a focus and mentality that has consistently set him apart throughout his career.” Under Mourinho, Matic won the Premier League at Chelsea and played in an FA Cup and Europa League final for United. He has signed a deal with Roma until June 2023 and will wear the number 21 shirt for the Europa Conference League winners. Tems Diagnosis
