In Beyoncé’s voice: “What’s better than one Style Raven”? You guessed it: Two! Truly, everything good comes in twos: a pair of shoes; Jay-Z and Beyoncé; a pair of diamond earrings; and The Duo Desk. The Duo Desk is made up of two popular South African fashion bloggers and creatives: Crystal Kasper and Palesa Mahlaba, also known as Simply Palesa.
Palesa retired from being the Fashion Editor of SA’s biggest women magazine, True Love, to pursue other interests and “spread her fashion wings.”
A self-proclaimed accessory lover with an extensive sunglasses collection, her style is simply fabulous and very expressive – as seen in her gorgeous outfits. She has the ability to wear whatever she wants and have it look extremely fun and full of energy. What her style tells of her is that she is bold and edgy.
Crystal, on the other hand, is seriously hip with a killer fashion sense. The modern-day versatile hipster who loves the monochrome trend is not at all scared to play with colours and textures every now and then.
We can’t blame her though, she can literally pull off anything! From flamboyant to casual to classy and chic, Crystal has proven that she is the true definition of a fashion chameleon.
Together, they are a formidable force to reckon with in the world of fashion. Both girls often dress like twins, sharing a cohesive look that still manages to show their individuality and authenticity. Besides being gloriously fashionable in their own right, when they get together, even more, magic happens.
Their creativity is obvious, beginning with how they style their looks, how they strike poses and how they deliver their content.
