Beyoncé is now the sole owner of SirDavis whisky after buying out LVMH’s stake in the premium spirits brand, the French luxury group confirmed Monday. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed, bringing an end to the joint venture between the pop star and Moët Hennessy, LVMH’s wines and spirits division, that launched the brand in 2024.
The deal gives Beyoncé full control of a whisky company that was built around her family history and personal interest in spirits. While the financial details remain private, the ownership change marks a notable shift for a brand that was created as part of the growing relationship between major luxury companies and high-profile entertainers.

LVMH confirmed that it had sold its stake in SirDavis to Beyoncé, but the company did not reveal how much the singer paid for the interest or provide further details about the transaction.
The development follows earlier reports in specialist trade publications that LVMH was preparing to exit the business. With the sale completed, Beyoncé now owns SirDavis whisky outright rather than operating it through the partnership originally established with Moët Hennessy.
The conglomerate remains active across luxury fashion, jewelry, beauty, wines and spirits, but its involvement with SirDavis has now come to an end.

Beyoncé and Moët Hennessy launched SirDavis in 2024, entering a premium American whisky market that has attracted growing interest from international luxury companies.
The brand was named after Beyoncé’s great-grandfather, Davis Hogue, who was a farmer and moonshiner in the American South during Prohibition. That connection to her family history became a central part of the brand’s identity.
The whisky was developed with master distiller Dr. Bill Lumsden, an award-winning whisky expert with a Ph.D. in biochemistry. Lumsden worked with Beyoncé and Moët Hennessy to create a spirit that combined American whisky traditions with influences from Japanese and Scottish whisky-making.
SirDavis is bottled in Texas, Beyoncé’s home state, further reinforcing the connection between the spirit and the singer’s personal background.
At its launch, the brand was positioned as more than a celebrity endorsement. Beyoncé was directly involved in the creative and development process, while Moët Hennessy supplied its expertise in spirits production and distribution.
LVMH’s Relationship With Celebrity Spirits
The departure from SirDavis does not mark the end of LVMH’s involvement with celebrity-backed alcohol brands.
The company continues to own a 50% stake in Armand de Brignac, the champagne brand associated with Jay-Z, Beyoncé’s husband. LVMH acquired its stake in the champagne company in 2021, creating another major connection between the luxury group and the couple’s business interests.
The SirDavis partnership reflected a broader trend in which luxury conglomerates have teamed up with musicians and other entertainment figures to enter or strengthen their positions in the spirits market.
For LVMH, the SirDavis collaboration also represented an effort to develop a premium American whisky brand internally through Moët Hennessy. The company previously described the project as the first brand developed entirely by its U.S. team.
What the Deal Means for SirDavis

The ownership change comes as LVMH’s wines and spirits division reports improving financial performance. The division recorded 5% organic revenue growth during the first half of 2026, while profit from recurring operations increased 11% during the same period.
Against that backdrop, LVMH’s decision to sell its SirDavis stake raises questions about the company’s longer-term priorities in the spirits business, although neither the group nor Beyoncé has indicated that the transaction reflects a change in the brand’s performance.
For Beyoncé, the deal means she can now determine the direction of SirDavis whisky without a corporate partner holding an ownership stake. The singer has already built a business portfolio that extends beyond music, including her Cécred beauty brand, making SirDavis another part of her expanding entrepreneurial interests.
Beyoncé’s Next Chapter With SirDavis
Neither Beyoncé nor LVMH has announced significant changes to SirDavis following the transaction. The brand’s existing positioning, production and distribution strategy could continue under its new ownership, although full control gives Beyoncé greater freedom over its future.
The whisky remains closely tied to her story, from its name and Texas production to the Japanese whisky influence that helped shape its development.
Ultimately, Beyoncé’s acquisition of the remaining stake transforms SirDavis whisky from a joint venture into a fully singer-owned brand. LVMH has officially stepped away from the business, leaving Beyoncé in control of what comes next.
