Shudufhadzo Musida, a native of Ha-Masia in Limpopo was on Saturday, October 25, crowned Miss South Africa 2020. The ceremony took place in a closed event at The Table Bay Hotel, Capetown. With her win, the 24-year-old beauty becomes the 62nd Miss South Africa and third queen to wear the prestigious uBuhle crown.
Shudufhadzo holds a degree in Bachelor of Social Sciences in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) from the University of Pretoria and is pursuing an Honors degree in International Relations from the University of Witwatersrand.
She accepted her crown with immense pride and joy wearing a custom-made, handcrafted Orapeleng Modutle dress. Growing up as a Venda woman, Shudufhadzo never imagined taking home the crown on such a grand stage, and as she rightly said: “…but then you limit yourself because of your surroundings, and you limit yourself because of your background. But God always changes the narrative, and I’m proof of that.”
Prior to her win, Shudufhadzo was a beautiful face we had only seen on the gram. Her buzz cut hairstyle, a body to live for plus a simple and classy style ensured she stood out among the millions of women across social media. It came as little surprise that she won the coveted crown last Saturday night.
From ultra sexy bikini looks to A-line pieces fit for a Royal, regardless of which design she is dressed in, Shudufhadzo’s self-confidence shines through.
In anticipation of her style as the new queen of Mzansi, let’s revisit 10 of her most stylish looks. It’s a carefully curated range, from chic flare dresses to figure-hugging dresses and simplistic pants, her love for pleats and unapologetically feminine pieces shine through.
