Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are entering the world of audio documenting as they’ve inked a podcast deal with Spotify. Spotify announced on Tuesday, December 15, that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have landed a multi-year deal with the audio streaming service to host their own podcast, partnering with the couple’s audio production company Archewell Audio, according to reports.

The details of the deal were not disclosed by Spotify, but the name of their production banner seemingly offers a sweet tribute to the couple’s one-year-old son, Archie. Fans of the young pair already have a lot to look forward to. Prince Harry and Meghan will host and produce a string of podcast series for the coming years. The two will kick off their podcast reign with a forthcoming holiday special, with fresh episodes and a new series slated for a 2021 start.

2. Nigeria: Omah Lay and Tems released from Ugandan police custody

Nigerian artistes, Stanley Omah Didia a.k.a Omah Lay, and Temilade Openyi a.k.a Tems have been released from police custody in Uganda. This was disclosed in a release order statement by the Chief Magistrate Court of Makindye at Makindye, posted by Ugandan musician, Bebe Cool.

The Court said: “Whereas the accused person Temilade Openyi (Tems), Stanley Omah,(Omah lay) and Muyiwa Awoniyi were charged with the offense of neglect act likely to spread of infectious diseases Section 171 of Penal Code Act. The Charges have been withdrawn against them Vide Withdrawal Form Serial No, 4292, dated 15th December 2020.”

The Court demanded that all accused persons be released from custody unless held on charges.

3. South Africa: Yvonne Chaka Chaka unveils WOMan Radio, a women-led online radio station

Legendary award-winning, humanitarian, businesswoman, singer, and actress Yvonne Chaka Chaka has expanded her horizons with the establishment of a women-led online radio station called WOMan Radio. Yvonne aims to empower women in the media space – employing and exposing the rich, unearthed talent on the continent in programming, producing, engineering, and managerial positions.

The actress says she intends to engage more unexplored content that only the uniqueness of womanhood could reveal in the digital age. Since the soft launch of the station in October, it has been received well by listeners, most of whom are men. The station welcomes male listenership as a means of forging greater understanding between men and women.

4. Ghana: Kumawood actor and producer involved in an accident

Popular Kumawood actor and producer, Frank Naro, has revealed he was recently involved in an accident. The actor who was traveling with his team survived the accident but dislocated a bone in his leg.

Although he did not disclose the location of the accident, the actor shared photos of his damaged vehicle. Frank Naro in a post on Instagram wrote, “in the toughest hour of your life, you can always rely upon God to survive even the toughest and impossible circumstances.”

5. Slaven Bilic: West Brom manager sacked after 18 months in charge

West Brom manager Slaven Bilic has been sacked after 18 months in charge, with the club placed 19th in the Premier League. The Baggies have gathered seven points from 13 league games, with eight defeats, though they earned a surprise 1-1 draw at Manchester City on Tuesday. Assistant coaches Dean Racunica and Danilo Butorovic also depart, as does first-team coach Julian Dicks.

A club statement thanked Bilic and his coaching staff “for their efforts in achieving promotion last season.” Bilic, 52, signed a two-year contract when he took over at the Hawthorns in June 2019, replacing Darren Moore.
