Other top prize winners included ECOMSPACES, a one-stop-shop for e-commerce solutions ranging from product photography to order fulfillment, and HBCU grand prize winner Monocle, a social e-reader that creates a community-focused reading experience, who were awarded $250,000 and $200,000, respectively towards their ventures.

This announcement comes after the cancellation of the inaugural Afronation Lagos, which was set to take place in December 2023. Via social media, Afronation Portugal announced that they would be having the biggest performances at the 2024 concert.
Rema, J Hus, Asake, Seyi Vibez, Odumodublvck, Tyla, Flavour, and more will be on the main stage during the festival. On Tuesday, November 14, NPR Music published a new interview with André 3000, who used the platform to announce that he’s releasing a new album. Titled “New Blue Sun,” the Atlanta legend’s first official solo LP will mark his evolution as an artist who transcended the typical confines of hip-hop music. In the feature, André spoke about the upcoming project and the aid that he received from a couple of Odd Future alumni.
One thing that was made clear about New Blue Sun was that it is completely devoid of rapping—in fact, there aren’t any words on the project at all. Concerning hip hop, André stated that, while he’s still in love with the culture, he isn’t currently connected to that art form from a creative standpoint.

Ex-Barcelona star Dani Alves will stand trial in Spain on charges of sexual assault, it was confirmed on Tuesday. The 40-year-old is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a nightclub in Barcelona last December. He was arrested in January and held in prison. A court in Barcelona has decided that there are sufficient grounds to take the case to court. The former full-back, who insists he had consensual sex with his accuser, faces between four and 15 years in prison if found guilty of the charges.
A document released by the court and signed by three judges read: “The statements of the alleged victim and the witnesses’ statements and experts’ reports that appear in the case must be considered sufficient for this purpose, without prejudice to the final outcome following the plenary phase.” No date has been set for the former Barcelona, Sevilla, and Paris Saint-Germain defender’s trial.
