Deconstructed shirts have always had a certain awe for me and that’s one of the reasons I love this duo. Levi Palmer and Matthew Harding are great at applying nontraditional techniques to traditional men’s shirting and other complementary menswear tropes. They have come to be known for taking menswear shirting and sometimes tailoring, then splicing and dicing it with care and abandon to recreate beautiful new pieces.
This collection features multi-sleeved shirts, jagged handkerchief shirt-dresses, wide-necked full sleeve knits and distorted lapel long tailoring. The clothes look to the careless eye as if they have been put on whilst inspiredly intoxicated but there is absolutely a sense of movement in the twist and whorl suggested by their careful subversion of sartorial tectonics.
