Falling in love and living together happily ever after; these words flow through our minds when we come across couples like Salewa Hassan-Odukale and Nonso Osakwe who look so in sync on their wedding day. The duo celebrated their happily ever after with family and friends in the beautiful city of Barcelona, Spain this June.
Salewa Hassan-Odukale looked simply breathtaking in her Victorian-style dress by Australian designer J’Aton Couture while her beau Nonso was the perfect dapper groom in a complete suit set by Scabal, a Belgian textile company founded in 1938 by Otto Hertz.
While we are really impressed with the groom, his twin grooms-woman who wore a delightful Mai Atafo power suit and his groomsmen in sets from the Kimono Kollection, not even Salewa’s gorgeously dressed bridesmaid in their Mo’Agusto pieces could steal the spotlight from the modern day Victorian bride.
It really was a spectacular luxury destination wedding; a thing of dreams and Salewa was truly Cinderella at the ball – not that her life has anything to do with the Grimm Brothers tale. Her jaw-dropping wedding gown was the spark that gave life to the entire fantasy wedding; she was the center of attention and rightly so.
Her Victorian inspired wedding dress captured the romance and elegance that vintage lace wedding gowns are known for. The ancient craft of the lace varies from designer to designer depending on what the bride wants and although Salewa’s was modified from the waist down, the timelessness of her vintage inspired dress is truly remarkable.
Salewa looked pristine! Her hair was done by Ferdinand Hair and her makeup was taken care of by ace Maybelline makeup director Bimpe Onakoya. All of these hands worked together to produce a picturesque look of the bride; and indeed, she looked perfect!
