Neka Youth & DNA By Iconic Invanity Provided A Taste Of The Next Generation | #HLFW18

Often times stepping into a new season means the introduction of fresh insights. Prior to the Heineken Lagos Fashion and Design Week, creative director of Iconic Invanity, Nancy Nwadire appeared on the cover of Blanck Magazine alongside her two daughters Destiny and Alanis, where she shared that it’s always been a part of the fashion empire’s mission to build a legacy as a family. That has become obvious with the creation of DNA by Iconic Invanity and now Neka Youth, which both made their debut on the HLFDW runway on Day 1.
The best part of being a designer is knowing that you are responsible for creating a brand that is ever evolving and one that intends to continue adding value to society. This was evident as Destiny and Alanis’ joint creations, Neka Youth and DNA by Iconic Invanity showcased their pieces that spoke to their creative distinctions.
As the models came down the runway, it was clear that both sisters had managed to create a balance with their range of looks. While DNA stuck with the magic of patterns and beading, creating colourful yet flirty and elegant pieces that lived up to expectations, Neka Youth‘s use of cool toned Adire and Ankara, as well as the cuts and lengths, provided a taste that not only attracts the younger market, but the older consumers as well.
Here’s a look at a few outfits from the joint collection…
