Aso Oke on the runway has never looked so beautiful as budding designer Shadiat Alasooke unveiled an all Aso Oke collection on Day 1 of the just concluded Lagos Bridal Fashion Week, nailing every look. The collection tagged ‘The Evolution Collection’ also happens to be the designer’s first ever collection.
The Shadiat Alasooke collection which consisted of 10 different looks in 10 jewel tones and 10 colours was built from scratch with 10 different embellishments. The designer who weaves her own Aso Oke fabric delivered a very detailed collection for the traditional bride who wants to serve a striking look on her big day.
Aiming to work modern magic on the tradition Iro and Buba, the collection features feminine cuts, trendy sleeves, tassels, fringes and more in a skirt and blouse (Buba) option as opposed to the traditional wrapper, Iro. This collection is definitely meant for the bride whose aim is to stand out on her big day and it is sure to set any bride apart!
