On June 10, Kylie Jenner sat courtside at Madison Square Garden with Timothée Chalamet to watch Game 4 of the NBA Finals, the game in which the New York Knicks completed the biggest comeback in Finals history to claim the 2026 championship. The couple wore coordinated Chrome Hearts denim, and on Jenner’s feet were a silver pair of sandals that nobody could quite identify. That was the point. The shoes were from the Khy x Gia Borghini footwear collection, one that did not officially exist yet. Now it does.
Khy was relaunched in April 2026 as a wardrobe-first fashion label, introducing what Jenner described as a more intentional and curated approach to the brand she founded in 2023. The Dear Summer, Love Khy collection followed in June. Footwear is the next step, and it arrives in collaboration with Italian label Gia Borghini, a brand that has previously worked with Elsa Hosk and Silvia Tcherassi. The Khy x Gia Borghini collection launches August 21 at khy.com.
Why Gia Borghini and What the Collaboration Produces

The choice of Gia Borghini as a partner is well thought out. The Italian label’s identity sits at the intersection of architectural design and wearable femininity, the kind of footwear that prioritises a distinctive silhouette without sacrificing the comfort required for real life. That combination maps directly onto the sensibility Jenner has been developing at Khy since its relaunch.
“I have always loved shoes,” Jenner told Footwear News exclusively. “They are the essential finishing touch to any outfit. Expanding Khy into footwear felt like an organic evolution for the brand. Partnering with Gia Borghini let us bring that effortless, 90s-inspired summer vibe to life with Italian craftsmanship, creating sleek, architectural shapes that are comfortable enough to live in all day.”
All three silhouettes are crafted in Italy. The collection centers on four fabrications: black leather, white leather, metallic chrome, and chocolate pony hair. The palette is disciplined, and the material choices are specific; there is nothing throwaway in the range, and each fabrication creates a meaningfully different version of the same essential shape.
The Three Khy x Gia Borghini Silhouettes

The Studio Thong is the collection’s everyday anchor. A clean thong sandal offered in sleek black leather and high-shine metallic chrome, it is designed to function as the most versatile piece in a shoe wardrobe, the kind of flat that works with everything and requires no justification. The silhouette is pared back entirely, letting the quality of the material and the cleanness of the line carry the piece.
The Muse Thong introduces a wedge element that gives it a more architectural character. The wedge mold nips in at the center, creating a sculptural profile that is considerably more distinctive than a standard platform while remaining genuinely wearable. It is available in black leather, chocolate pony hair, and metallic chrome, the pony hair version being the most visually unexpected choice in the range and, predictably, the one most likely to generate the widest response.
The Icon Sandal is described in the official release as an early 2000s, space-race mod. It is a strappy, buckled heel in crisp white leather and metallic chrome, offering the boldest silhouette of the three. Jenner described it as the statement option in a collection otherwise built around versatility. It is the piece that most directly communicates the collection’s awareness of where fashion’s relationship with early 2000s aesthetic reference points currently sits.
How to Buy the Khy x Gia Borghini Footwear Collection

The Khy x Gia Borghini collection goes live at khy.com on August 21 at 1 pm ET. Sizes run from EU 36 to EU 41. The silver thong Jenner wore courtside during the NBA Finals has already been one of the most searched pieces in the collection since she first appeared in it publicly, giving the launch a head start in terms of awareness that most footwear collaborations would take months to build. The full collection was also visible in the Dear Summer, Love Khy campaign earlier this summer, where Jenner appeared in the shoes across multiple looks. The official launch is August 21. The preview has been running since June.
