Thirty years after Michael Schumacher’s arrival at Scuderia Ferrari HP, PUMA and the team have released a limited-edition collection timed to the Formula 1 Monza Grand Prix, Ferrari’s closest thing to a home race. The GP Monza 2026 Scuderia Ferrari collection translates Schumacher’s legacy into wearable form through a range of motorsport-influenced pieces that draw directly on his race-suit aesthetic, his seven championship titles, and the era’s iconography that defined Scuderia Ferrari’s most successful period.

Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, the current Scuderia Ferrari HP drivers, wear the collection in a campaign shot at the team’s garage, placing Schumacher’s visual language on the shoulders of the drivers who now carry the team forward.

The red racing jacket is the collection’s centerpiece and its most direct homage. It draws from the design of Schumacher’s race suits, with contrasting white stitching, a high collar, and the Scuderia Ferrari logo running across each shoulder, translating a functional cockpit garment into outerwear that carries the same visual authority on the street.

The Replica T-shirt and Replica shirt take a different approach to the same legacy, weaving seven stars across the backs of each garment, one for each of Schumacher’s championship wins. The counting of those championships in material form is the kind of detail that rewards the informed buyer without requiring explanation for anyone else.

A cap with a laurel wreath embroidered on the brim extends the motorsport symbolism beyond the core apparel pieces. The laurel wreath as a victory symbol connects directly to the podium ceremony tradition in Formula 1, and its placement on a cap makes the reference precise enough to communicate without being literal.

Two footwear options complete the collection: the Speedcat Pro and the Speedcat in red, both drawing on the Speedcat’s established motorsport heritage that has made the silhouette a consistent reference point in streetwear over the past several years.

Why the Speedcat Fits the Schumacher Tribute

The Speedcat’s position in this collection is worth noting. The shoe was originally designed as a driving shoe, low-profile, with a flat sole and suede construction optimized for the feel of a pedal underfoot.

Its current streetwear relevance comes from exactly that functional seriousness: a shoe that was made for something specific before it became culturally significant. Pairing it with a collection built around Schumacher’s career creates a coherent material logic, the Speedcat belongs to the same world that the rest of the collection is referencing.

Hamilton and Leclerc as the Bridge Between Eras

The campaign choice is the element of this release that carries the most cultural weight. Shooting Hamilton and Leclerc in Schumacher-referencing pieces at the team’s garage is a visual argument for continuity.

What Schumacher built at Scuderia Ferrari HP in the years from his 1996 arrival through his championship run still shapes the team today, and the people currently wearing red are aware of that inheritance.

Hamilton, who joined Scuderia Ferrari HP in 2025 after a career built largely at Mercedes, and Leclerc, who has represented the team’s present and future simultaneously for several seasons, are the right faces for a collection that is explicitly about the relationship between past and present at a specific institution.

A Monza Release Built Around Ferrari’s History

The Monza Grand Prix timing places the collection’s public debut in the race-weekend context for which it was built. Monza is Ferrari’s home circuit in every meaningful sense.

The Automobile Club d’Italia owns the circuit, and the tifosi who fill the grandstands each September treat it as more of a religious ceremony than a sporting event. Releasing the GP Monza 2026 Scuderia Ferrari, a tribute collection to Schumacher, 30 years after his Ferrari chapter began, is the right occasion for this specific tribute.
