Los Angeles police are investigating after human remains were discovered inside the front trunk of a 2023 Tesla registered to 20-year-old singer-songwriter David Anthony Burke, known professionally as D4vd. According to reports, workers at a tow yard on North Mansfield Avenue in Hollywood alerted authorities to a strong odor coming from the impounded vehicle just after noon on Monday. The Tesla had been at the lot for several days after being towed from the Hollywood Hills, and detectives found the body wrapped in a bag inside the car’s front trunk.
While the identity of the victim has not been released, officials are treating the case as a death investigation and have not indicated any link between the remains and the artist himself.
