T

he ultimate way to express yourself remains being comfortable in your skin and letting your style servings embody your chicest self. Sometimes, you stay in your comfort zone and at other times, you experiment and test the waters because…change. Last week, Black women around the world understood this principle and chose to adorn their silhouettes in numbers that very well pushed the fashion ball forward.

The looks

The newest addition to the mom-to-be club, Rihanna, might be the ringleader of this crew. The icon is out in the streets setting major maternity fashion goals, with back-to-back stylish appearances that break the internet every time. Last week, she flaunted her baby bump in a black Jean Paul Gaultier lace-up top, which she paired with Attico leggings, a Wardrobe NYC reversible cropped bomber jacket, and black stilettos.

When a woman is proud of her partner, she glows differently. Star girl Ciara attended the 2021 NFL Honors in a sultry black Roberto Cavalli SS2 RTW dress and Jimmy Choo shoes, all loved up with her husband Russel Wilson. The wrap illusion on this black number did justice to her silhouette in more ways than one.

Nigerian designer Tolu Bally looked ethereal in her design as a wedding guest over the weekend. From the gold head wrap to the richly detailed green dress, it’s sure how many neck-breaking moments must have occurred at the event.

The styles shared by Black women around the world last week were nothing short of snazzy, chic, edgy, and glamorous, and it’s safe to say that we are, as usual, living vicariously through them. Black style queens.

Check out last week’s best fashion moments as seen on stylish Black women around the world…
