Last Week, Loveable Beauty Takes Prevailed Amid Valentine’s Day Razzle-Dazzle

ove, romance and creativity were clearly the theme last week as women around the world prepped for the celebration of Valentine’s Day with much gusto. Expectedly, we were raptured by a whirlwind of lovely beauty takes as Black women stepped out looking as daring as ever. Whether they were cuddled up with Le Boo, putting their best face forward with girl pals, or maybe it was a solo self-love moment, the beauty looks served gave us enough reason to believe that love, regardless of who it’s directed towards, is something worth celebrating.

So, as you go about the razzle-dazzle accompanying V-Day, remember that it’s not just about the gift you give or the places you go (although important), but about the love you show to your partner, your friends, or yourself. Happy Valentine’s Day.

The Looks

February babies are generally referred to as “love babies,” because their birth month is the month of love. While it’s yet to be proven if they’re all loveable (August baby here), we can certainly attest to that when it comes to Kelly Rowland. Last week, the music sensation rang 40 in looking as delectable as ever. If Black don’t crack and wine only gets better with age, then surely, Rowland is the best of both worlds.

While red for Valentine’s day may seem a bit cliché, a red lipstick never goes out of style. Nigeria’s Osas Ighodaro and South Africa’s Mpho Tsila are certainly proof of this. Although at different ends of the continent, the two unified with the lipstick hue and the result is absolutely special.

Hair

There’s no doubt that the whole world is in Valentine’s frenzy, and this has spread beyond outfit and makeup into the hair zone! From love-themed tones to flattering options, love is in the air indeed. What better hairdo best screams love than embracing your natural hair in all its glory? None. Last Week, Nigerian author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie once again showed us why natural hair is always a good idea.

Check out the loveable beauty takes spotted on Black women last week amid the Valentine’s Day razzle-dazzle…
