#1. Beyonce – My House
Beyonce has shared a new song called My House. It’s her first new music since she released Renaissance last year, which was billed by Beyoncé upon its release as the first act in what will be a three-part series. The track appears during the credits of her new Renaissance movie, which is in theaters now. Since Renaissance watched her go full dance music, My House is Beyonce’s first rap track in a while. It was written and produced with The-Dream.
#2. Odumodublvck ft. Black Sherif – Wotowoto Seasoning
Native Records rapper Odumodublvck has chosen to augment his first mixtape, Eziokwu, with the unveiling of an extended deluxe edition. The enhanced rendition boasts a formidable lineup of 21 songs, an augmentation of seven additional tracks. As if that wasn’t enticing enough, the deluxe edition introduces a star-studded cast of collaborators, elevating the project to appeal to more fanbases. The new roster of artists featured on the Eziokwu Deluxe edition includes the likes of Duncan Mighty, Nasty C, Teni, Black Sherif, and Boj, each lending their unique voices to this already stellar mixtape. The infusion of these diverse voices adds layers of richness and complexity, creating an auditory experience that attracts listeners with its sheer diversity.
#3. Tyla – Truth or Dare
South African singer-songwriter Tyla is forging ahead with three new singles: Truth or Dare, On and On, and Butterflies, all serving as heralds for her highly anticipated self-titled debut album. The 14-track album is scheduled to be released on March 1, 2024. A captivating piece is Truth or Dare, a fusion of Afrobeats and R&B elements that challenge a prospective lover to rise to her level of sophistication. On and On and Butterflies follow suit, each presenting its own unique charm and musicality. These tracks offer listeners a glimpse into the diverse range of Tyla’s artistic expression, weaving a narrative that captivates the senses.
#4. Kaytranada ft. Rochelle Jordan – Lover/Friend
The inventive and always-busy Montreal dance producer, Kaytranada, loves collaborating; he’s a wizard at bending his style to meet his peers in the middle. Kaytranada has followed up on his last record with a new single under his own name, but it still finds him working with friends. Kaytranada’s new track is a collaboration with a sharp vocalist, who works brilliantly. On Lover/Friend, Kaytranada teams up with Toronto R&B singer, Rochelle Jordan for a slinky, breathy club track with a percolating groove and a casually hypnotic melody.
#5. Pheelz ft. Olamide – Joy
Talented producer-turned-singer Pheelz has released a new song titled Joy. On this new groovy sound, he features his regular collaborator, rapper Olamide. The inventive beat of this song infuses elements of Indian musical culture, resulting in a cross-continental fusion that’s both thrilling and groundbreaking. From a technical perspective, a skilled sound engineer artfully blends an array of percussive and melodic elements, including both Nigerian drums and traditional Indian instruments. The outcome is an exotic, pulsating soundscape unlike any other.
