Best Dressed List: Last Week, Glamour Defined The Game


As life begins to return to a normal state, celebrities and style stars across Africa––who also happen to be some of the best style influencers on Instagram––are finding reasons to dress up, step out and make a fashion statement. You can think of it as catching up on lost time. And with the crazy year we’ve had, we can’t be mad at anyone for playing wardrobe catchup. Stylish African Celebrities on Instagram Style.

African celebrities and top fashion influencers are consistently using their style on Instagram to prove that a global pandemic doesn’t equal an end to doing the things we love––especially if it keeps us going.

Even as we continuously preach the gospel of safety and ask that you observe social distancing rules, we also want to re-emphasize the fact that a fashionable outfit should not only make you look good on the outside but also make you feel confident from the inside out. That confidence is exactly what we can feel from the women on this list.

Last week, some of the most stylish African celebrities, influencers, and style stars stepped out in a range of amplified looks which they, of course, shared on Instagram. Trust Nigerian celebrities and style stars to nail their looks.

Last week, as we say in Nigerian pidgin, Nigerian celebrities, and fashion influencers ‘finish work!’ Self-proclaimed “Baby girl for life” Toke Makinwa glowed in an all-gold look as she attended the premiere of the Hollywood movie, Quam’s Money. She styled the Lanre DaSilva Ajayi dress with a pair of Gucci Calfskin Crisscross Snake Sandals and a Yves Saint Laurent Pyramid leather bag. Her outfit was complemented by a pair of gold earrings, a sultry nude glam beat, and finished off with a sleek high ponytail.

Still at the same movie premiere, TV presenter and actress Michelle Dede stayed right on trend in a custom black dress by Studio by S.B Youme featuring voluminous sleeve detailing. In a bold and effortless move, she opted to rock her natural hair while also keeping her glam beat natural-inspired.

The looks shared via Instagram posts by African celebrities and fashion influencers were nothing short of chic, edgy, and glamorous and it’s safe to say that we are, as usual, living vicariously through them. The top Stylish African Fashion influencer Instagram.
