Pop African singer and songwriter, Ric Hassani is one artist who has been on my radar for a while now. From the get-go, his style has been a version of the redefined modern-day African gentleman. A lover of rich African prints like Ankara, Kente and Adire, he’s got a knack for stylishly putting simple print pieces together in a way that drags all of our attention. From Ankara jackets with matching pants, to print bow-ties and colourful tie-and-dye shirts, his style is bold and as eclectic as they come.
The self-branded African Gentleman is regularly found wearing African print pieces which have been transformed into western-inspired attires with a modern twist to it. As uncommonly adventurous as you can find for men’s styling, Ric has mastered the art of combining contrasting prints to achieve the perfect mismatched ensembles. Never leaving his trademark frames behind, his clothings are tailor-fitted to his slender body and every look is well-thought out. The result is that he comes out looking as dapper as befitting of a perfect African gentleman, every single time!
