At this point, we think it would be in order to dub Bieber the Queen of Beauty as she understands the art of viral beauty looks, whether makeup or skincare. Just before her 27th birthday, Beiber introduced us to the next trend we’re expected to swoon over — the Sugar Plum Fairy Makeup Look. And, of course, we’re swooning.
According to Hailey Bieber, the inspiration for this look stems from a performance she made at 16, where she played the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, “When I was 16, I was the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker. This is my 2023 version of that makeup. My go-to vibe for the holiday season!” she said. Telling us, the beauty enthusiasts, what to do and showing how to do it are two different things, and trust the model to deliver on the latter. In a recent video, she took us on a step-by-step journey on how to accomplish this holiday-appropriate look and the results were fantastic. What you’ll need: Concealer, cream blush, cream-shimmer eyeshadow, freckle pen (optional), brown lip liner, lipstick or gloss, and mascara.
- STEP 1: Start with a clean and properly moisturized face. The importance of a clean face before applying makeup cannot be overemphasized. So cleanse and moisturize properly before doing anything else.
- STEP 2: Apply your concealer under your eyes and blend well.
- STEP 3: Using your fingertips, apply your cream blush all over your cheekbones, eyelids, and the tip of your nose. The blush is supposed to be rich and boast a healthy glow.
- STEP 4: Apply a cream-shimmer eyeshadow on your eyelids. Hailey dropped a tip: use your lip gloss on your eyelids for additional shimmer. Feel free to do as the queen suggests.
- STEP 5: Use the leftover shimmer from the eyelids to highlight your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose.
- STEP 6: Use a freckle pen to create faux freckles around your nose. Adding freckles offers a more natural vibe, but you can decide to skip this step.
- STEP 7: For your lips, use a brown lip liner to create a plump effect. Then, soften the outline, blending in the color with your fingertips. Finish off with your gloss of choice.
- STEP 8: Complete your sugar plum fairy makeup look with well-brushed eyebrows and a light coat of mascara.
