Nollywood actress, Shan George has announced that she is engaged and will soon walk down the aisle. The actress is ready to risk all and settle down again after agreeing to marry the yet-to-be-revealed man, whom she described as her ‘ride or die’.

Shan George shared the news of her getting engaged on her Instagram, Wednesday saying; “As Scared and Sceptical as I’ve been all this past years, based on unfavourable past experiences, this one seem to be just too right to be afraid of, or to Hide. So I SAID YES!! To my best friend, my brother, partner, business associate, fellow crossrivarian, my ride or die since 1800, my available shoulder to cry on always. Let’s try again this one last time. It’s never too late. Yes, I Love You Too!”

2. Ghana: Water supply to be interrupted in eastern Accra


The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has announced that there will be an interruption of water supply to the eastern part of the Greater Accra region between September 14 and September 20, 2020.

In a statement, the GWCL said the interruption is to enable its engineers to replace close to two kilometers of weak transmission pipe-lines from Kpong to Tema. The statement further urged consumers, especially in the eastern part of Accra to store enough water for consumption during the period of the shut-down.

3. South Africa: Bonang Matheba to host a podcast on Charlamagne tha God’s Black Effect Podcast Network

Media personality Bonang Matheba is set to host her own podcast on Charlamagne tha God’s Black Effect Podcast Network in partnership with iHeartMedia. According to reports, “The Breakfast Club” and “Brilliant Idiots” host is set to launch his new podcasting network in Spring. The new venture is set to be the largest podcasting publisher dedicated to black listeners.

Matheba will host her own show, “Untitled”. The content of Queen B’s podcast is still unknown but it’s to sure to give the people what they want. Other notable names joining the line-up include Zuri Hall with “Hot Happy Mess” and “Checking In” with Michelle Williams.

4. Cardi B hires private investigator over online threats

Cardi B has become a target for trolls because of her criticism of President Donald Trump, and though she tries to “ignore” their comments, she had to take action after her personal security was allegedly under threat.

Speaking on Instagram Live, she said: “They be making fun of me. I ignore them. I don’t give a fuck. I literally hired a private investigator and serve them with a warrant and arrest this boy. This boy was a fucking teenager. His parents were shook.”

Elsewhere in the video, the ‘WAP‘ hitmaker hit back at political commentator Candace Owens, who has branded the rapper “illiterate” and criticized her interview with Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, and insisted she will continue to use her platform to encourage young people to vote.

5. US Open 2020: Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka target 2018 rematch

Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka will be hoping to secure a rematch of the 2018 US Open final when both semi-finals take center stage on Thursday. Six-time champion Williams, 38, who lost that infamous match, faces former world number one Victoria Azarenka. Japan’s Osaka faces 25-year-old American 28th seed, Jennifer Brady.

The Japanese player has improved as the tournament has progressed, with impressive victories over Estonian 14th seed Anett Kontaveit and then American Shelby Rogers in the quarter-finals.

Williams, similarly, has improved match by match and has noticeably grown stronger in the longer contests. Her victory over Bulgarian Tsvetana Pironkova on Wednesday was her third successive three-set win at this tournament and her second where she came from a set down.
