Rihanna is pregnant with her first child with ASAP Rocky. The popstar debuted her baby bump over the weekend while the couple was photographed together in Harlem. The singer wore a hot-pink vintage Chanel puffer coat unbuttoned above her stomach and completed the look with body jewelry and faded denim jeans. Meanwhile, Rocky layered up in a denim Carhartt jacket over a knit hoodie and black leather pants.

Rihanna and Rocky were longtime friends before first reports of their relationship taking a romantic turn emerged in December 2020. The rapper was soon after spotted spending Christmas with Rihanna’s family in Barbados that year. In a May 2021 cover story for GQ, Rocky referred to the Fenty mogul as “the love of my life.”

Congratulations to the couple.

2. Nigeria: Buju set to drop another project on his birthday

On January 30, Nigerian singer, Buju, took to his Twitter account to announce that he will drop another project on his birthday. Buju was born Daniel Benson on May 19, 1997. Thus, he is set to drop that project on May 19, 2022.

In Q4 2021, Buju released his debut EP, “Sorry I’m Late”, and it was an acquired taste. Nonetheless, his numbers were healthy, as he dropped the project in the middle of an incredible run in Nigerian music.

3. South Africa: Bonang Matheba tells former management company director to ‘buckle up’

Media personality Bonang Matheba is ready for the next legal battle with her former management company. It seems that following her win against vlogger Rea Gopane, she is ready to take on her next opponent. Last week, the “Being Bonang“ star won her defamation court case against podcaster Rea Gopane. The “Everything SA Music TV” host landed on the wrong side of Bonang. Last year, he claimed in one of his podcast episodes that she introduced her ex-boyfriend, rapper AKA, to cocaine.

Following this, she took to Twitter and took aim at CSA executive director Davin Phillips and said: “…buckle up, @DavinPhillips” This comes after the businesswoman revealed in a Twitter Space in October that she had terminated her contract with CSA Global and is busy with legal action against the management agency.

4. French ambassador expelled from Mali

Mali’s military leaders are expelling the French ambassador over what they called “outrageous” comments made by the French foreign minister about the transitional government. France said it was recalling Joel Meyer, who was given 72 hours to leave. Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian last week said the Mali junta was “illegitimate” and “out of control”.

Relations between the two countries have deteriorated since the army seized power in August 2020. Tensions increased further this month when the junta reversed an agreement to arrange elections in February and vowed to hold power until 2025. France has threatened to pull its troops out of Mali, where they have been fighting an Islamist insurgency. The landlocked country in West Africa is a former French colony.

5. Manchester City sign Julian Alvarez from River Plate

Manchester City have signed Argentina forward Julian Alvarez from River Plate for 17m euros (£14.1m). The 22-year-old has agreed a five-and-a-half-year deal with City but will remain at the Argentine champions on loan until July. River president Jorge Brito said the Premier League champions met a release clause in Alvarez’s contract. Alvarez has scored 36 goals in 96 appearances for River and won six international caps.

Considered one of the most gifted young players in South America, he made his Argentina debut last summer and was part of the Argentina squad that won the Copa America in July. Speaking on Sunday, Brito said Alvarez’s departure from River had become inevitable.
