Fresh off his trip to Atlanta for the BET Awards, where he was nominated for Best International Flow, K.O. has announced a new festival, Skhandaville Fest, along with a star-studded line-up. Skhandaville Fest will be held at Pretoria’s Propaganda on October 27. K.O. will be joined on stage by the likes of Pabi Cooper, Musa Keys, Kabza De Small, DJ Maphorisa, DJ Mr. X, Maglera Doe Boy, and Moozlie.

“SAVE THE DATE! SKHANDAVILLE FEST 2023 At @propaganda_pretoria,” he posted on Instagram. The new festival comes shortly after the 43-year-old hosted his first-ever one-man show, K.O. Live at the Hill, at Constitutional Hill back in July.

4. CJ Obasi’s ‘Mami Wata’ is Nigeria’s submission for Oscars 2024

The Nigerian Official Selection Committee (NOSC) has picked CJ Obasi’s “Mami Wata” as the country’s contender for the International Feature Film (IFF) category of the 96th Academy Awards next year. The black-and-white film about a West African goddess and her waning influence in a struggling village won the highest votes from the 14-member committee.

The NOSC announced in a statement on Sunday, October 15, that the film was selected for its relevant theme and unique approach to a story of pre- and post-colonial African societies. The committee also praised the film for its technical and artistic excellence.

5. Trevoh Chalobah to be sold in January with Bayern Munich still interested in defender

Chelsea are ready to sell Trevoh Chalobah in January amid interest from German champions Bayern Munich. The English defender is expected to leave the Blues during the January transfer window in search of more game time, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano. Chalobah was linked with a move to Bayern in August this year, but the deal collapsed on transfer deadline day. Despite the failed transfer, the German champions continue to remain interested in roping in the player.

Besides the Bundesliga giants, Nottingham Forest reportedly admires the player and could join the race to sign him in the next transfer window. The Chelsea academy graduate has not featured in any of the club’s matches this season under Mauricio Pochettino.
